A DAY IN MY SHOE

Getting an update from The Star (news) this morning was definitely devastating. Malaysia had once again lost a rare talented gem like the one and only Yasmin Ahmad.

Sincerely, compared to other producers in our entertainment industry, she deserved a salute in the way she portrayed her work - which is always genuine, honest and full of love. Yasmin will always be remembered as someone who dares to break the men-made 'taboos' i.e. racial harmony and humanity values in our society. God blesses her soul.

**************************************************************

On the other hand, there's this some incorrigible creature named Hadi Awang who purportedly stir inevitable rage in Sarawak offending the very nature of the aborigines (including me) stating;

"Semua pilihanraya kecil sebelum ini keputusannya memihak kepada kita. Cuma di Batang Ai sahaja kita kalah sebab mereka ini tidak reti undi, pakai cawat lagi. Saya bukan nak hina tetapi tempat yang pakai molek, undi PAS"

Click here and here for news report. This kind of statement is bizarrely shocking, fresh from a divine mouth of an 'alim ulama' which to me is unacceptable. Not only that this remarks could stir racial harmonic chaos but in a long run, how can one ever believe a leader who upholds respect as his last resort?

Isn't it obvious, the reason of PAS defeat in Sarawak back then is not that we totally detested your religious teaching whatsoever, call me a blunder but to me the utmost reason is because we'll never UNDERSTAND each other as to the way your neverending dispute with your long time nemesis i.e. UMNO.

How can Hadi demand respect from the people of Btg. Ai and claimed to be their champion when he himself despise and look down into our people's culture and tradition? Did Hadi ever been to Btg. Ai and seen for himself their way of life? Did Hadi ever care to hear our plight rather than talking nonsense spreading his so-called pious believes? If his intention of invading Sarawak through PKR is just to make funs of people, then Hadi should STOP!

I admit that my people is still left far behind, that they are just rural folks who knew nothing about this sonic moving pace of globalization, that they are even vote blindly as Hadi mentioned during elections. YES we are. So, what? Why do you care? Did Hadi ever provide for me and the rest of my family? Ah, don't Hadi know @ (pretending not to know) that most of our naturally rich resources are used to supplement his state? So, who's who now?

There are boundaries for everything and so do us, The Ibans. The notion that we are still living in an ice age kind of world is completely untrue. Don't you go to school @ can I conclude that there's not even a single school in your state?

Again, that statement is truly unforgivable. We the people of Sarawak together with our flip-flop no-guts leaders demand public appology from this brat Hadi. The insult is humiliating and discouraging. It's like saying "hey, you look stupid wearing that songkok" Don't you feel angry? So did us.

p/s - If Hadi were to be in Sarawak next time, he better be dressed properly (molek) just in case my 96 years old grandma out-dressed him!

  4. Sometimes it's hard to practice what you preach because we are just merely a fragile human but to be proud of oneself neglecting R.E.S.P.E.C.T. toward others behaving like a caveman, that's truly annoying.
